About Tattoo Ole

Tattoo Ole is the world's oldest continuously operating tattoo shop, located beneath the historic streets of Copenhagen since 1884.

For generations, sailors, artists and travellers from around the world have gathered in the small basement beneath Nyhavn 17. More than a tattoo shop, it became a place where friendships were forged, journeys were remembered and traditions were passed from one generation to the next.

Today, we continue that story through tattooing, art and carefully crafted pieces inspired by our heritage, craftsmanship and the values that have defined Tattoo Ole for more than 140 years.

Not just merchandise. A piece of tattoo history.
